Shattered Dreams

Today was the shattered dreams presentation. It was pretty intense. They had a helicopter / jaws of life truck / a fire truck / cop cars - motorcycles / a suburban from the funeral house.

It all started right after the bell rang. We had the scretching of tires / heart beats / someone loses their life every 15 mins from a drunk driving accident. So every 15 mins we heard heart beats. It was around 9:45 am and my group I was with was in the gym doing some taks review and stuff (since I was at boot camp) I turned around and a grim reaper was standing behind me. It scared me. Then this lady cop was reading something and we went and huddled around her. I could not really understand what she was saying though, but they ended up taking one of the students with them. He was then dead. The dead students chosen painted their face white with black circles around their eyes and they were not allowed to talk for the remainder of the day. Well around 10:25 the Jr's and Sr's walked back over to the regular campus and we saw the wreck (we got the best view because we were the first there)

A truck and a car. the car was upside down and had 3 passengers. None were dead, the driver was severely injured. and they used the jaws of life to get him out of the car. Well the other 2 girls in the car were just fine. The truck however held horrible situations. The guy in the back was dead (his arms hung over the edge and blood trickling down it you will see in the pic) the driver was alive but very drunk when she opened her door 2 beer cans and 1 beer bottle fell out. She was tested to see if she was drunk and then placed under arrest. The girl sitting in the back of the truck with the dead guy was screaming n crying. the passenger girl was passed out (possibly dead). Well at that point a helicopter arrived, they took the passenger girl out and gave her CPR n stuff and then they took her away (may I note that the injury on her knee looked VERY real, it was disgusting) Then they took the driver in the upside down car immediately to the ambulance after working forever to get him out. then everyone surrounded the dead body (the dead people I explained with the white faces and black circles around their eyes) and also the other 2 girls who were okay in the upside down car. Then Johnson's funeral home showed up and took the dead body away (first they searched him for an ID and took his school ID) and they drove away (I don't see how he could act dead for so long 1. his arms musta been numb and 2 he was under a white sheet for awhile it musta been hard to breathe and 3. when the funeral people took him they tucked the sheets around his head and this blue thing that went around the stretcher and the white sheets. so it really musta been hard to breathe not to mention being dadgum hot.

After that we were released to go back to class. While walking back to boot camp the fire truck drove by us and honked and it scared me! And when he got in front of us and passed us they honked again and it scared me once again........

Now tomorrow we go and watch the film again and then we are having a speaker I think... Here are some pics from just a bit ago they left the cars on school ground for decoration?
